Where I live, there is just too much light pollution on all the horizons. The only place I can get a decent night photo is straight up. I had been taking some test shots earlier in the week of trees arching above me and thought that I could use those same leading lines to do something interesting with the night sky. I positioned the camera between 4 trees and put an interesting star in between their top branches. I wanted this photo to use the trees to give the feeling that they were holding up the sky. I wanted the viewer to be drawn to the galaxy in the middle. Processed in Lightroom for color correction and exposure.
I love walking trough downtown Ann Arbor. So many of the businesses have planted gardens to provide living art for the passerby. I took advantage of RelaxStation's garden to snap a few photos, thanks!
